WHAT IS NUTRITIONAL IV THERAPY?
Nutritional IV therapy is medically supervised here at Modern Acupuncture. Nutritional IV Therapy supports nutritional needs and fast-tracks you to a state of optimal health. Our IVs are customized with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants. Over the course of about 45 minutes, the nutrients are given intravenously (‘in the vein’), flooding the cellular environment and ensuring higher absorption than through the digestive tract when taking them orally. The saline bag the vitamins are mixed into is formulated for optimal hydration and balanced to hydrate without diluting essential electrolytes in the blood.

Acupuncture on its own increases blood flow, and oxygen and nutrients are directed to specific acupuncture points to help reduce inflammation and provide pain relief. Combining acupuncture with Nutritional IV Therapy the blood is immediately enriched and aiding the body’s ability to deliver pure vitamins, minerals, and amino acids for the most systemic effect.

How long does an IV Therapy session take?
The session should take about 45 minutes and can also be combined with acupuncture in the same time frame.
How frequently should I do IV Therapy?
None of our vitamins contain toxins you might find in medication, so you won’t experience an overdose on anything. Theoretically, if you are healthy, our IV Therapy is safe for daily use, however most people don’t put that type of demand on their body to need it daily. Most people will benefit from treatments spaced 2 weeks apart.
What should I do after the treatment?
There are no restrictions after your treatment. We recommend the same behaviors as after an acupuncture treatment: eat healthy, stay hydrated and get enough rest..
How soon should I feel the effects of IV Therapy?
Depending on your nutritional and hydration status you may see dramatic effects right away. If you get IVs regularly the results will feel less dramatic as you achieve optimal hydration and nutrition.
If I take a supplement or it’s in my daily multi-vitamin, why would I get a shot or IV?
