Maria is a graduate of AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. Maria decided to become an acupuncturist after working as a massage therapist inside an acupuncture clinic. She saw that patients were getting excellent results after only a few acupuncture treatments. Maria is also an AOBTA® Certified Practitioner, you can find her on AOBTA®’s “Find a Practitioner” website.
Her favorite part of being and acupuncturist is helping patients recover from physical traumas or difficult medical conditions. She also loves helping them improve their overall wellness. Maria chose to be part of the Modern Acupuncture team because she heard great things and wanted to learn more about how acupuncture is practiced in this setting. She had been on her own in practice since 2004 and wanted to be part of this company. When she isn’t working, Maria enjoys hiking, jogging and taking walks.

I was a skeptic for sure. I had always wanted to try acupuncture for my back pain, but was always too intimidated to go. I saw Modern Acupuncture was opening up close to me, so I decided to give it a try. They offered one free session. I don’t think I have ever been as relaxed as I was at the completion of my free session. I was amazed. After several sessions, my back pain has tapered significantly and I am sleeping harder than ever before. I am so thankful that I decided to try acupuncture. The staff here is so sweet.
I enjoy the Alliance location the most. Maria listens to the need(s) of her customers and focuses on those areas. She offers suggestions on how to continue my health improvement while encouraging me to stick with the program. It's not one and done, it's a process for overall continued good health. I should be their poster child for insomnia improvement. I get better sleep now than I have in several years. Thank you Maria.
I had been hoping to find a way to manage my pain from Multiple Sclerosis and arthritis for years. I am not a fan of prescription medicine or over the counter medicine. Too many other health risks I don’t want! I was walking past Modern Acupuncture and decided to stop and check it out. Having done research on this before, I was very open to giving it a try. I was pleasantly surprised to find how affordable it was there. Understanding that healing is not an immediate response, I made a commitment to myself to do the treatment plan for one month and then evaluate. It is now a month later and I am beyond grateful for my decision! My pain level has decreased significantly! My energy level has increased and my mental state feels much more centered and clear. The staff here are wonderful and the environment is very relaxing and zen. I am so thankful to Maria and Bianca for their amazing expertise. Needless to say, I will be continuing my treatment here!
I have never had acupuncture before.. I suffer from year round allergies and thought I would give it a try.. Instant relief and I can’t wait to go back!!! Great place and even greater experience!!!!! Thank you again Roman and Doug!!!!
Excellent ! Highly trained and skilled staff made a huge difference with my Rheumatoid Arthritis pain and energy. I’m not a big one for needles but there was essentially no pain and it is so worth the relief I have received in just two weeks. Very relaxing environment, peaceful, warm and welcoming. To top it off, the 30 minutes in a massage chair and hot tea make you feel reborn. Modern Acupuncture has taken it to the next level...
