Maria is a graduate of AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. Maria decided to become an acupuncturist after working as a massage therapist inside an acupuncture clinic. She saw that patients were getting excellent results after only a few acupuncture treatments. Maria is also an AOBTA® Certified Practitioner, you can find her on AOBTA®’s “Find a Practitioner” website.
Her favorite part of being and acupuncturist is helping patients recover from physical traumas or difficult medical conditions. She also loves helping them improve their overall wellness. Maria chose to be part of the Modern Acupuncture team because she heard great things and wanted to learn more about how acupuncture is practiced in this setting. She had been on her own in practice since 2004 and wanted to be part of this company. When she isn’t working, Maria enjoys hiking, jogging and taking walks.

I just finished my third session and I’ve already been able to see benefits from the acupuncture. I’m sleeping better than I used to. In my hands don’t make as much as they did before. Everyone in the office is so nice and welcoming. I leave feeling calm and relaxed every time.
Very easy to schedule appointments and the staff is both friendly and professional. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. I always enjoy my treatments.
After experiencing migraines and tension headaches for the past few months, I decided to give acupuncture a try. I just completed my 4th visit, and I can honestly say that I’m sleeping better than I have in years and no headaches for 2 days in a row!!! I’m a believer!! Top notch service and atmosphere. Thank you Ryman for bringing affordable acupuncture to our area!!
*Cliff notes if you don't want to read my novel: go-it works, you will be better for it, they're awesome* Being introduced to this place was pure kismet. I was in a very depressed and anxious place for a couple weeks. It was a funk I couldn't get through. I met the owner at an event in my work building by chance. He was very warm and knowledgeable. Acupuncture was something I'd always thought of trying. In all honesty I was running out of options on how to get myself out of the funk so I thought why not-I'll try it. The facility itself is beautiful and calming-you can feel it once you walk through the door. The staff is so accommodating and compassionate. I was a bit nervous with the needles but I barely felt anything and some none at all. After the needles were put in with care and gentleness I laid back in the massage chair. After a couple minutes I could feel this subtle hum as the circulation in my body started, it felt good and energizing. I let my mind wander and without me noticing it at first I realized I felt hope for the first time in weeks. I was thinking of other ways I can better myself. I was thinking of future plans. I was immersed in positive energy and endless possibilities. I could do it, I could really do it. Everyone in my life was shocked at what a change it made with just one session. I immediately bought a membership (way more affordable than you'd think and they accept HSA and FSA cards!) This is now an important part of my wellness plan. It's also opened doors to other alternative health options. For me this was life changing and I'm excited to see where it will take me. Thank you so much Modern Acupuncture for all you do!
The two times I’ve gone, Jon has been very forth coming with his information on how he can help with my issues. Love the fact that he informed that acupuncture is around 60-80% effective for plantar fasciitis and that he is here to help me in anyway that he can. Doesn’t sound like it would be comforting but it was. In knowing that what I was doing would help even if it didn’t relieve it completely. It didn’t set me up for an unreasonable expectation but for a realistic one. The environment is unbelievably relaxing and the facility is very clean. Love that they have hand sanitizer at every station and the providers use it in front of you. As well as the sharps containers they have on them, to know that as soon as they remove the needle it goes right in there is a relief. They don’t cut corners, you know the safety of their client is important to them. Ryman is so polite and welcoming every time I arrive/leave. He is dedicated to making your experience the best it can be every time. Very happy to have found them and will be continuing to go there. Would definitely recommend them.
